DONEGAL 5 IN ROW INTER COUNTIES '06 TEAM
Analysis: Meath played Wicklow in the first round, a super performance which
held us up 8-4.
It was then Donegal we went 3-1 up very quickly and had darts to
make what should have been 5-1, only to be beat 8-4 at the end.
We played very well taking into consideration Donegal  have
won the Inter Counties for the last 3 years running.
Our last game was to be against Kilkenny. We were both on
equal points so a result off either team would qualify.
Kilkenny started strong and soon into the lead with 3-2 up.
We fought back to be behind 5-4 down. Lack of experience was to defeat us and
saw Kilkenny
go clear second in the group.
The six group runners up had to play off for  two places to get to  the quarter final
Kilkennys next game  was against Roscommon where they were beaten 7-3.   
The 8 quarter finalists were Donegal, Wexford, Cork, Limerick,Dublin,  Kildare,
Sligo & Mayo.

NARROWLY BEAT US IN THE ALL LEINSTER FINAL

WE WENT 4-1 UP, THEN 6-5 UP, ONLY TO LOSE THE LAST 2.
